Most Popular Mobile Phones In 2007 ?
It is far too early to have any idea of what will be the most popular mobile phone of 2007, but early reports say the most popular handset for quarters one and two will probably come from the list below.
The contenders amongst the list could include the Samsung Z720 (Samsung SGH-Z720) due to the fact that a tie up between Google and Samsung makes it look likely to be one of the first mobile phones to be equipped with Google applications including, Google mobile search and Gmail services.
The Z720 is a super sleek HSDPA ready handset and boasts a 3 mega pixels camera, MP3 Player, and is Bluetooth compatible. With HSDPA connection and an embedded browser the Samsung Z720 looks set to take the mobile internet experience to the next level. Update: We have now had it confirmed that the Samsung Z720 will be on vodafone in the UK and will not feature Google applications here. Sources say there will be handsets including Google applications available in the UK soon, but as of yet models are not confirmed
Another major contender looks set to be the Nokia 6300. All those in the know, are predicting that this could be the Nokia handset that all will want in 2007 and we predict this will be the handset that anyone with the ever popular 6230 or 6230i will go for this year.
Not to be left behind, Sony Ericsson are capitalising on the Walkman and Cybershot popularity and look set to release another handset in the range, the Sony Ericsson W880i as well as a cheaper more basic model the Sony Ericsson W200i. We particularly like the look of the W880i and expect all those with a W800i, W810i or W850i to snap this up at the earliest opportunity.
Wanting to carry on with the success of the D500, D600, D900 and E900, Samsung look set to release a couple of stunners, the Samsung F300 and the Samsung F500. Similar to each other, the F300 is for music lovers, where as the F500 is aimed more for video and visual use.
One other handset we couldn't leave out, it is not going to be a big seller, due to the fact it will be a limited edition, but it just has to get a mention. The special limited edition The Simpsons Mobile Phone Based on an ultra slim Samsung phone The Simpsons Samsung Mobile Phone will be Simpsons yellow, feature The Simpsons Movie logo and come pre-loaded with exclusive The Simpsons content. We don't know which handsets they are based around yet, but rumours say the Samsung U740, Samsung M610 and Samsung C417, but we could be wrong Doh!
