Sarah Darlington Gardens
Yeovil, Somerset, ba22 7lx
Sarah Darlington, garden designer Sarah is a qualified garden designer who graduated with distinction from Cannington College. Her work includes private, public and show gardens and she is in demand for her talks on garden design and garden history. Sarah designs gardens in Somerset, Wiltshire,Bath, Avon and Dorset. Sarah?s philosophy is simple ? a garden can be anything you want: a place to meet or to be alone, to feel energised or relaxed, a place in which to invest your time or to give you the freedom to do nothing at all. Services In a free initial meeting, Sarah will visit your garden and discuss your requirements with you. Then, whether you are looking for a complete garden make-over, a planting plan for a new border or just a friendly on-site consultation, there will be a service to suit you. A complete garden design consists of three phases: creating ideas, creating a design and creating the garden. Each of these phases is offered as a separate service or in combination. 1. Creating ideas Following a visit to your garden and discussions with you, Sarah will create a pack of ideas including concept plans unique to your garden ? usually a mixture of CAD and hand-sketched detail ? sketches, a moodboard and a written set of design solutions. The concept pack allows you to establish how you would like your garden to look in broad terms before embarking on a full design. 2. Creating a design Once ideas have been finalised Sarah will draw up detailed designs based on a survey and site analysis. These include 2D and 3D scaled plans, a site analysis report and full specifications for materials, dimensions and key plants. 3. Creating the garden We can manage the creation of your new garden from start to finish, overseeing the project management and offering detailed planting plans, construction drawings of specific elements such as ponds or pergolas and a full planting service.
