I have always had an interest in keeping fit and healthy so after 30 years in a demanding career I decided to follow my dream and become a Personal Trainer.
I am an enthusiastic, ambitious, hardworking individual who has a passion for working out and an insatiable need to achieve my goals. I now want to share that feeling of satisfaction and reward by helping others to achieve their goals.
I am extremely friendly and approachable and mindful that suddenly taking up exercise maybe a very daunting prospect for some.
As a Personal Trainer I will help motivate and guide you to reach your goals, whatever they may be and I will work with you to encourage a healthier lifestyle.
I am REPS registered ( Register of Exercise Professionals ) and fully insured.
I am qualified as a Level 2 Fitness Instructor and Level 3 Personal Trainer based in the Chorley area. I am also studying for my Level 3 GP/Exercise Referral and Level 4 Obesity and Diabetes.
Home Personal Training - this is
where I jump in my car, complete with fitness equipment and bring my Personal Training to you. With the latest portable equipment it's easy to create an all over body workout and I can adapt any programme to any environment. Many clients prefer the personal attention and focus that home training brings. It can also give you the opportunity to discover new running / walking routes and new exercise places in the Chorley area that you may not have known about where the opportunities to create a fun and effective training session are boundless!
There is no need to be a member of a gym as all exercises can be carried out in your own home / garden / park with the equipment provided, this way there are no excuses!
If you are new to exercise or haven't trained in a long time I suggest you train with me 2 or 3 times per week. This regularity ensures that you develop proper form in all of your exercises.
Scheduling regular workouts and 'check ins' with me as your PT helps to eliminate any excuses for skipping exercise. After you've trained with me consistently for 2-3 months you may wish to reduce the number of sessions to once weekly or if you're feeling comfortable and self motivated, once a month.
I offer a free consultation. This is my opportunity to get to know you a little better and for you to meet me as your potential trainer. I appreciate this can be a daunting experience for some, especially if it is your first experience of personal training. I will ask you to complete a quick consultation form which will highlight your current activity, any contraindications to exercise, your nutritional habits and lifestyle habits. Most importantly I will want to know your motivation to exercise and your fitness goals. You can also ask me any questions or concerns that you may have before undertaking any exercise programme. During the consultation we'll discuss;
• Your fitness goals and past exercise history
• My training style, structure which would be best for you
• Prices and package options
Your sessions will be structured to help you progress quickly and effectively. They will be tailored to your goals, varied, fun and educational. Your programme might also include workouts to do at home, in your garden, local park or at the gym, whatever suits you best.
