Background Archival Research Services is a new service established by Dr David Willcox to provide research assistance for anyone requiring information held in the UK''s public archives. We bridge the gap between academic knowledge and the wider world. The services we offer cater for the legal, publishing, media and business worlds in addition to academics, students, researchers and universities. Research Archives in the United Kingdom hold material of value to organisations and individuals overseas and visiting them or paying for an in-house service may not be cost-effective. We will visit archives on your behalf and reduce the cost to your project. With extensive research training in the humanities we specialise in retrieving and analysing historical documents held in repositories such as the National Archives. We visit archives on your behalf to provide copies, notes, reports or contextual analysis of documents and files. Document Delivery When it comes to providing your research material we aim to be green and in doing so keep the bill lean. Where restrictions at an archive permit we will take digital photographs of the documents and send these to you electronically, eliminating reproduction, postage and packaging costs and reducing the overall time spent on the project, saving you more money.
