Solihull Tudor Grange Kumon Tuition Centre

Kumon is suitable for students of all ages and abilities; currently our youngest student is 3 years old. As Kumon is not age specific students progress at their own and therefore do not loose faith in their work. The Solihull Tudor Grange Kumon Tuition Centre attracts students from a wide area through the development of a fine reputation, we currently assist students from the following areas; Solihull, Dorridge, Knowle, Bentley Heath, Hockley Heath, Olton, Cheswick Green, Monkspath, Shirley, Hillfield, Dickens Heath, Solihull Lodge, Balsall Common, Birmingham, Hall Green and Yardley Wood. All newly enrolled students are guided through the class process by the classroom assistants who ensure they are welcomed, find their work quickly and swap completed homework for the work set for the following week. Students work under close supervision initially to settle into their new routine and receive guidance to help establish their new study skills. The time spent in class is invaluable in understanding a child''s needs and how best to support and develop them. This observation time ensures work set can be individualised by the Instructor to support their development and maximise their potential. New topics are generally tackled in class, enabling a student to ask questions and feel confident prior to receiving further work to practice the subject at home. Once the class work has been completed, students take part in supplementary activities such as the "numberboard challenge" (a magnetic board game designed to develop hand eye co-ordination and number sequencing skills), reading from our library or testing mental Maths skills such as "times tables" practice. Once marked, any errors are corrected by the student assuring a positive outcome with all work completed as correct.
