Pembrokeshire’s first Victorian tea rooms are now open in Cosheston. Paskeston Hall Country House offers traditional afternoon tea, in the time honoured style it was meant to be served. Paskeston Hall Country House is an exquisite example of a grade II listed Georgian manor house, set in 22 acres of untouched countryside. The house was completed in 1820 with a Victorian conservatory, complete with cast iron window levers, which were subsequently added. The afternoon tea is served throughout several rooms of the house, including the said conservatory, the drawing room and the music room, both of which enjoy the benefits of high ceilings, sash windows and open fires. Paskeston Hall Country House prides itself on serving only afternoon tea, thus making it the only true tea rooms in Pembrokeshire. Afternoon tea consists of your choice of more than thirty loose leaf teas, a small selection of fresh coffees, toasted crumpets, freshly made finger sandwiches, cakes and scones. These will be accompanied by locally produced preserves and clotted cream. Your afternoon tea will be served to you in its proper attire; this ranges from china services, reminiscent of those used during Queen Victoria’s reign, tea strainers, cake stands, crisp linen napkins with matching table cloths. To preserve the air of gentility each table is equipped with a small bell, for you convenience, to attract the attention of your server. We would be delighted to serve you, and we trust you will thoroughly enjoy your afternoon tea in these tranquil surroundings.
