Hi, my name is Kim . I have 4 lovely children 2 girls and 2 boys aged 20, 17, 15 and 5. I have lived in Nottingham all my life and moved to Bestwood village 13yrs ago. My youngest child attends Hawthorne Primary and Nursery School, my 17yr old is in the building trade and my 15yr old attends The National School. My eldest works alongside me also as a registered childminder. The reason i started childminding is because i love working with children, watching them grow and it gives lots of satisfaction and no 2 days are ever the same. I have a log cabin in our rear garden that the children use. I have a large and varied range of toys and resources that i use with the children from arts and crafts, dressing up, shops, books, playdough and lots more. I always ensure that the childminded children have age appropriate and stage appropriate activities and resources to use and play with. I take the children out daily to parks, softplay areas and farms etc. I keep parents updated on what we have been doing through a daily diary that the children take home, this gives you the chance to communicate with me as well. In addition i take photos and email these to parents to show them what we have been upto. At no time would I ever try and take the place of a parent. I consider my job to be helping you by providing a homely, caring and stimulating atmosphere for your child and giving them the care that all children deserve whilst helping them achieve their full potential. My Experience I have helped run a local parent and toddler group and being a mum to 4 children has provided me with plenty of experience for children of all ages. I am registered with Ofsted ( the same organisation that inspects schools) so am upto date with the new early years foundation stage that all childminders have to follow by law. I have the correct home and car insurance another legal requirement. My Qualifications I am a registered childminder with the Office for Standards in Education (OFSTED). My OFSTED Grade is "GOOD" in all areas and available for you to read. My inspection took place on the 22/09/2009. I am fully insured with the National Childminding Association (NCMA). I have qualification in home based childcare and a valid certificate in paediatric first aid. I have a Level 3 diploma in home based childcare and am always doing other courses which would benefit the children I care for. I have a certificate in food hygiene. I have a certificate in safeguarding children. I have completed and passed the beginners course in Makaton and will be doing the advanced course soon. I have the correct insurances for my car and home so you can rest assured your child/ren are in safe hands. My Availability I have places available for children aged from birth - 5years old and also 8 yrs and over. I offer full or part time care. Term time, school holidays and short time care. My hours of work are 7am -6pm but these hours are flexible to suit your needs. I offer school pick ups and drop offs, i am able to drop off at Hucknall, Bulwell, Bestwood village, because i do drive and have the car seats required for different ages and weights. Please ring for more information My Fees I work with children because i enjoy watching them grow not to make a profit. £3.50 per hour per child. There is a 50p reduction for siblings. Before 8am and after 5pm is £5 per hour. Full day consisting of 8 hours £30 . If more than 2 days required £25 per day. There is a sibling discount of £5 per day for the eldest child. All snacks, drinks and some outings are included in the price.
