My name is Graeme Long. I am a trained user of counselling skills with training in the Person-Centred approach to Counselling and Psychotherapy. I offer free face to face counselling from my home in Brockton, near Much Wenlock.

Sometimes in life we find ourselves facing problems where talking to even the most supportive friends or family just isn't enough. This is where counselling may help. As a professionally trained counsellor I can offer you the time and space to talk about whatever is troubling you, in a relaxed and supportive environment. Counselling is about a safe place for you to explore and express your issues, concerns and fears, whether these are past or present. It can often assist in the journey of self discovery, and so, my job as a qualified counsellor, is to enable you to recognise what it is you need in order to grow and reach your full potential.

What type of issues can counselling help with? Clients bring many issues to counselling, including the following: * Lack of confidence * Difficulties in sustaining relationships * Bereavement, grief and other losses * Physical illness * Difficulty in expressing feelings * Loneliness * Psycho-sexual problems * Depression * Stress at work * Anxiety * Lack of clear aims in life * Issues relating to abuse.

When trying to deal with these sorts of feelings or life events it can be distressing and frightening and can lead to feelings of being overwhelmed or out of control. Often we can deal with these difficulties and challenges on our own or with the help and support of friends and family. However, there are times when only counselling may help.
