Den of Iniquity Tattoo and Piercing Parlour has been open since may of 2010. The studio, which can be found on Portland Place, Leith (just opposite the entrance to Ocean Terminal) is easily accessible. Bus routes 10, 11, 16, 22, and 35 all pass the shop''s door, and there is free parking on street, and at ocean terminal''s car park. The business is fully licensed with the local council, and staff have all undergone health and safety courses. All equiptment used is brand new and sterile. The shop''s tattooist, Ed, is origionally from London, where he did his apprenticeship. He moved to Edinburgh at the begining of 2010 and opened the studio alongside his business partner, Jen, who is also the piercer. Ed speciality is in old school and traditional tattoos, but he covers all types of work, and executes every one to the highest standard. Jen only uses the blade method for piercing, which is far superior to the usual cannula technique as it is less traumatic to the skin and promotes a faster healing time. Tattooing will not be performed on anyone under the age of 18. Aside from the ear lobe, piercing will not be performed on anyone under the age of 16. Full parental consent is required if the customer is under 18 years of age.
