Pups-R-Us is part of the Focused Training Group which consists of 3 Counties (Surrey, Hampshire & Berkshire)Dog Training, Surrey Heath Dog Training and Bagshot Dog Training School. Established back in 1986 we enjoy an enviable reputation in the area with an extremely high percentage of our clients coming to us by word of mouth. We also welcome back many clients who have trained with us before and return to us when they get new puppies. As professional dog trainers we have a genuine love of all breeds and our instructors go the extra mile in ensuring that our clients learn how to get the very best from their young canine companions. We do however recognise that not all owners or of course dogs will progress at the same rate and make allowances for this by letting all of our students progress at their own pace without pressure but provide the right level of support and encouragement to guarantee that individuals achieve the best possible results from their efforts. We assist all of our clients in the formation of strong bonds with their puppies by understanding how the dog thinks and how there are many ways where, by recognising the differences between canine and human perception they can train their dogs without the dog even realising that training is in progress. This look into the canine mind combined with the use of praise and reward methods ensures that excellent results can be achieved with minimum effort. A puppy is a family companion and as such we always encourage the attendance to classes of all available members of the family including children of a suitable age. We have also assisted a number of teenagers who have opted to take dog training as a recreational subject on the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme.
