Silk House Therapy Practice was established by Hayley Merron, a Body Psychotherapist and Biodynamic Massage Therapist. Hayley has been involved in personal development for the last 20 years working with people in private practice, charities and business. She originally trained in Integrative Psychotherapy at Metanoia and then completed a further 6 years training in Body Psychotherapy with Cambridge Body Psychotherapy Centre. She has been offering Body Psychotherapy and Biodynamic Massage in Macclesfield since 2006. In Body Psychotherapy what happens in the body is considered as important and integral to the process of development and healing as what happens in the mind. Body Psychotherapy offers a process whereby unconscious and emotional material can be accessed and integrated more fully so that restrictive and out of date patterns of behaviour, thinking and relating can be addressed. Many manifestations of pain in the body and/or mind can be successfully addressed in Body Psychotherapy. A specific issue may be addressed or it may be the process of getting to know oneself better that leads to greater personal satisfaction, fulfilment and meaning in life.
