Founded in 2007, we are a contemporary, jazz and street dance company based at Shrewsbury Sports Village, Sundorne. Originally part of Adcote School, we are now an independent business and rapidly expanding.

Dancers are split into 3 age groups, beginner, intermediate and senior and undertake exams with the IDTA, at present through Wood Green High School (Wednesbury). Classes cover all 3 styles, as well as their sub-styles (i.e. lyrical, hip-hop, classical, jazz etc.) and the basic skills required for dance. Seniors also undertake stretching and flexibility programs, and are encouraged to research various dancers, choreographers and also the different styles they are learning.

As a whole, dancers are very enthusiastic about what they do, and lessons are aimed at being fun and enjoyable, rather than disciplined and rigid. In the words of one student:

"It isn't that we do what we like, it's that we like what do".

Elite Dance Studios teachers and principal dancers encourage all students to enjoy and appreciate a variety of dance styles, in a relaxed atmosphere. Originally known as Street Style Dance Company when founded in September 2006, by 2009 Street Elite Senior Dance Company was born. By August 2010, Elite Dance Studios was founded, with dancers split into the 2 separate performance companies.
