In these difficult times, you may be seeking short-term, solution-focussed work; or longer-term therapy at more emotional depth. I focus on depression, trauma, bereavement, anxiety, stress and anger. Whether you are experiencing personal upheaval, relationship problems or just want to live a more fulfilling life, I understand it can be challenging to talk things through. You can therefore rely on me to listen with sensitivity and understanding. I provide a confidential, down-to-earth service that allows you to explore your issues in-depth without any hidden agendas. You will find me warm and easy to talk to. I enjoy helping people find a way forward; not by imposing my values on them. I consider my role as a vocation and a calling. As well as my private practice, I teach trainee counsellors at Saint Mary’s University College and in Further Education. I have experience in public clinics, psychiatric hospitals, MIND and as the first male counsellor to practice in a rape crisis service. I have lived and worked in urban and rural areas, in inner cities and the suburbs, at home and abroad.
