We have been providing training for Apprenticeships in Accounting and the AAT qualification since 1992 and as Accountancy Plus Training were once of the largest such providers in the country. We were recognised by the Learning & Skills Council as a Centre of Vocational Excellence in Accounting and more recently were the first provider in the country to achieve Certification in the Training Quality Standard with Excellence in Accounting. A theme there somewhere? We have always supported distance learning and took the decision recently to provide a distinct service focussed primarily on this learner group, as opposed to those attending our taught courses. Distance learners have specific needs and these need to be catered for. We have for a number of years developed interactive accountancy learning materials, which are available 24x7 on our Virtual Learning Environment, Moodle. These form the bedrock of our distance learning course, supported by traditional study manuals, where relevant, and as importantly, the availability of a team of personal tutors, accessible by email or telephone, to guide and support you through your studies.
