Betty Scott Ironing is a local family run ironing business operating from a small ironing office in Patton near Kendal. We offer a pick up and drop off service, and whether you need a weekly, monthly or one-off break from the chore of ironing we are always happy to oblige! We are focused on providing high-quality friendly service and customer satisfaction. Betty Scott Ironing will tailor to your needs, however large or small. About Us Our company is based on the belief that our customers'' needs and our flexibility are of the utmost importance. And of course a few crease- free clothes! As a result, a high percentage of our business is from repeat customers and referrals. How we work We will always work around you and your particular need''s, but this is how it usually goes.... 1.You give us a call or an email to arrange a pick up (or you can drop it off with us if you would prefer, see below for location) 2.We will come and collect your ironing from your home or your work, our turnaround is usually 3 working days but if you need items quicker this can also be arranged 3. We deliver your ironed items back to you, neatly folded in a laundry storage box, or your own supplied laundry bag (if you require items to be hung you will need to let us know and supply the hangers, we can supply polythene garment covers for items hung, priced at 60pence per cover) 4. Your invoice will be included in the returned ironing, and can be paid right away, or within 1 week. This can be paid via cheque or cash. 5. You can opt for this service once a week, once a fortnight, once a month or just every now and again! Prices for ironing: £20 per large laundry bag approx (55 litres)-equivalent to a big black refuse (bin) bag, or two average size washing baskets. £10 per half bag full, or one washing basket. We price in this way so that our customers gain the best value for their money- most ironing companies charge per item and this can work out very expensive. The only exception to this pricing is that we charge per item for bed sheets and table cloths- duvet covers £2 flat sheets £1 fitted sheets £1.50 table cloths £1 we had to start doing this as we found we were getting a lot of commercial work for bed and breakfasts and ending up with a bin liner full of super king sized bedding!! Prices for collection and delivery: Collection and return delivery: £2 within a five mile radius of Kendal. £4 within a ten mile radius of Kendal. For areas further afield please get in touch for a petrol quote. You can also drop the ironing with us yourself (see below for location). Hours/ Method of Collection and Delivery: Mon - Sun : any collection and return times are possible if prior arranged. If you will not be at home when we return the ironing, we are happy to leave in your ''safe place'' eg an open porch. If you would prefer to drop the ironing off with us yourself, we are of course happy for you to do this at your convenience, just send us an email or give us a call to arrange a suitable time.
