We are Rachel and Sarah, two friends from Kent with a passion for our dogs and their wellbeing. Basil the 2 year old Miniature Poodle lives with Rachel and Eddie the 2 year old Miniature Schnauzer lives with Sarah. We were inspired to launch Petz Kitchen when Eddie became ill and was diagnosed with kidney failure. Because of his illness Sarah had to be careful what she fed him and was astonished by some of the ingredients added to dog food and treats. There was a distinct lack of healthy and wholesome dog treats with recognizable ingredients, so we did our research, got baking and made our own. They proved to be so popular, not only with our dogs, but with our friends dogs, that we were encouraged to sell them and Petz Kitchen was born! All recipes have been tested, tried, refined and eaten again and again by Basil, Eddie, their friends and even our friends and children! Our recipes are unique to us and we only use human grade ingredients which are locally sourced and organic, where possible. There is absolutely nothing in the treats that you wouldn''t want to eat yourself. We often get strange looks from customers at our fairs when we prove that humans can eat them too! We are always developing new recipes with different flavours to find treats that even the fussiest dogs would be delighted with.
