Staffordshire Music Centre (SMC) is a music school for both children and adults offering an imaginative, creative and educational music service that gives people the opportunity to challenge themselves, expressing musical ideas and feelings by encompassing their creativity, imagination and instinct. Students are invited to learn in a modern and approachable environment which helps SMC bring instrumental lessons up-to-date, and whilst students will be encouraged to have the most enjoyment during their music lessons, they will be informative and educational. SMC will offer a selection of courses outlined below, from it''s conveniently located facility in Stafford Town Centre: Instrumental lessons - will be offered to both children and adults, providing students with the opportunity to express musical ideas and feelings by encompassing their creativity, imagination and instinct. Workshops and Master Classes - will be offered throughout the year. (extra cost to students) Professionals working within classical, jazz and pop music will provide these events. ‘Student Showcase’ - A performance event that allows students to perform and showcase pieces they have been working on during their lessons at SMC. ‘Be a Rock/Pop Star’ – A school holiday of after school activity that will allow students to get a taste of being in a rock/pop band. Students will learn how to work in a band situation, learning skills such as band member interaction, listening, and performance techniques.
