The Tender Touch Funeral Service has been running since April 2008 and has gone from strength to strength, winning the coroners’ contract for the Medway area in 2009. The Tender Touch Funeral Service is a family run independent funeral directors with branches in Gravesend, Rochester, Bexley Heath, Plumstead and Orpington. Each of our branches has been designed to have a homely relaxing atmosphere and each has a peaceful chapel of rest in which you can pay respects to the ones you love. Paul and Lorraine predominantly opened The Tender Touch with a vision of bringing the funeral director back into the community. They felt that the personal touch people used to get from their local funeral director had been lost due to the expansion of many large corporations and that the price people had to pay these companies was inflated. Their ethos was to make the funeral arranging process easier for families, designing a range a packages to suit those families on low incomes or a tight budget without compromising on quality, care and dignity. No-one has money to throw away in today’s economic climate and during these times of recession the last thing a grieving family need is the stress of trying to pay for an overpriced funeral.
