Gillies Mar-Jan Stageschool

We are a Dance school based in Chorley and Adlington in Lancashire. We have classes for children from 2 1/2 years in Ballet, Tap ,Modern /Jazz and Street dance. We also have adult classes in Tap and Ballet.

The school was first established as The Mar-Jan Stage school over 60 years ago by Margaret Jones who was the dance teacher of Gillian Pilkington. Gillian became the principal in 1995 after teaching at the school for many years. Past pupils have gone on to perform all over the world in theatres and on cruise ships.

Pupils are entered for examinations with the British Theatre Dance Association a recognised association which is part of GQAL. We also put on a dance school show every two years in aid of various charities.

We offer a free trial lesson for new pupils. We aim to teach pupils the disciplines of dance with friendly staff who care and like to see pupils achieve their goals.
