Welcome to Psychotherapy Edinburgh. My name is Josephine Murray-Smith. I am a Certified Transactional Analyst (CTA) and I also have an MSc in Psychotherapy. I am a member of UKATA, IARTA and ITAA and I abide by their codes of ethics. I am also a UKCP registered Psychotherapist. Issues that I work with include: Anxiety, Depression, Poor patterns of relating, Trauma, Abuse, Low self esteem, Lack of confidence, Feelings of Shame, Self harm, Suicidal thoughts. I am genuinely interested in helping my clients resolve issues that may be holding them back from living a fulfilling life. I see clients of various ages and backgrounds and of all sexual preferences. I work with clients with varying issues ranging from anxiety and depression, to sexual and relationship problems. I also see clients with a history of abuse and those who self harm. I have a special interest in working with people who have sufferred Trauma and Abuse, and those with a Borderline Personality Disorder. Generally I work long term with clients but also shorter term when necessary. A safe and confidential environment is provided to discuss and explore issues and problems. I am non-judgemental and everything discussed is confidential.
