About Acorn to Oak Pre-School The setting will be an inspiring environment for children to learn and develop as they play and socialise. All staff supervising will be offering support when necessary and monitoring each child's learning and planning to support their Next step's. The days routine will be relaxed, children will be encouraged to help in all aspects for example helping to tidy up and putting toys back to appropriate areas and helping others if needed. We will provide activities and learning experiences, so children can learn life skills and the skills they need to enter school confidently. We will ensure that all areas of safeguarding are given a full attention to make sure every child safety and welfare needs are being met safeguarding and first-aid training a given priority. Acorn to oak preschool and staff will supply children with the benefit of having 6 acres of land with hedgerow and a stream on their doorstep to play and explore. Preschool will have qualified and passionate staff to enable children to learn as they discover new skills and challenges. The Setting will be a hands-on experience for the children to participate in, this maybe problem-solving building, cooking or being creative for example. Children will learn through seasonal and calendar related topics such as Chinese New Year, Diwali and Valentine's Day. We supply high quality toys geared towards independent learning. Our Philosophy Our philosophy is that children grow in our care through relaxed curriculum learning at their own pace. They will gather over the time skills and abilities to be confident independent learners. They will build positive relationships with their peers and staff members. We believe the children should be allowed to learn at their own pace with support tailored to their needs. Although they will be given knowledge and some structured learning, they should also gain independence to problem solve and use their own initiative. In a relaxed manner We will follow some Reggio Emilia and Forest school principles. Our staff's main role is to safeguard children then supervising to offer support to aid learning. Our core values are respecting each child as a unique individual and supporting them to gain the best of their abilities including fully assisting children with disabilities. Acorn to oak preschool has been formed as a great opportunity to supply the local area with a high-quality early year learning environment in extensive private grounds. Acorn to Oak is registered for children under 5. We are currently offering care solely for 2-5-year olds with a view to expanding care to under 3's in the future.
