Highfield Nursery School is a private children's day nursery and preschool in Highfield, Southampton. We care for children aged between 12 weeks through to 8 years old for full or part day sessions, offering care before and after school as well as during holidays. Sessions run from 8am until 12.30pm or 1.30pm until 6.30pm Monday to Friday, with full day care available from 8am until 6pm. Our nursery is designed with children in mind allowing us to exercise our free flow approach to learning and play, and there are a wide range of activities planned throughout each day that encourage both learning and development. We have a book area with a wide selection of both fiction and non fiction books, picture books, poetry and counting books as well as a choice of seating, and we encourage learning with props such as puppets and pictures to activate their imaginations. The food we serve is both healthy and nutritious, made daily from fresh, locally sourced ingredients wherever possible. Our menus are changed on a weekly basis, and we also offer healthy snacks and fruit throughout the day.
