Sandbed Cottage is a family run self-catering holiday accommodation for up to 4 people in the Upper Eden Valley, a region of outstanding natural beauty in the spectacular Yorkshire Dales National Park. Sandbed cottage sits in a stunning, rural location at the foot of Harter Fell, close to Ravenstonedale, a picturesque village, loved by the acclaimed writer Alfred Wainwright who said it was the most attractive village in Westmorland or as it is now know Cumbria! The beautiful Howgill Fells or the "sleeping elephants" as they are fondly known, completely surround the cottage which is stone-built with breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside, perfect for gentle walks or more adventurous hikes. The slopes of Harter Fell lie directly on the doorstep and the magnificent limestone pavements lie on the other side of the dale. We are lucky to enjoy such an enviable location amid dramatic Cumbrian fells and we encourage our guests to sample everything this beautiful area has to offer.
