I source second-hand furniture for my workshop where it is treated, painted, and given lots of TLC. With their own history and story to tell, I work on these special pieces only to let such stories come back to life; how many hands have rested on this wooden table before it fell into disrepair, which books slept on this bookcase when it still had shelves? My practice is to look back to the past, forward to the future and restore with love, care, imagination and craft. With a BA in Painting, Drawing and Printmaking, as well as a 2018 Masters in Painting from Plymouth College of Art, my locally found furniture is available both online and available to view in my Plymouth based studio.
