With its businesslike hum & handsome setting beneath the Broadgate circle's ice-rink, Brasserie Pierre remains the epitome of the chic French brasserie, demonstrating the benefits of its association with the Lounge bar underneath the restaurant with consistently artistic presentation & a long, luxurious wine list. Diners rate it highly for food that is ‘good’ or even ‘very good’, & we’d agree: gorgeous comfort food, at competitive prices in the city. Desserts are inventive. Service is for the most part brisk & assured. The main drawbacks are tables that for some are ‘too close together’ & evening meals dominated by the ‘noisy’ bar, but otherwise this is somewhere that’s always ‘dependable’.
