Unwind on a lovely, tranquil narrowboat break on Vita in the South of England on the River Wey, adjoining the River Thames in Weybridge. Treat yourself to a holiday and a taste of life in the slow lane on the River Wey, just a little over 60 minutes away from London, close to Guildford and not far from Windsor. The River Wey is owned and maintained by The National Trust and there is plenty to enjoy as you gently wend you way along its 20 mile navigable stretch with its 16 manual locks. Vita is an amazing, easy to drive and very clean narrowboat. She provides comfortable and warm accommodation for up to 6 people - with two fixed bedrooms - each with its own adjacent shower room. Another double can be provided by a comfortable pull out bed in the central area, if required. Vita has an extremely well thought out design for a genuinely comfortable stay on a boat; during the day there is enough seating outside for everyone and then in the evening adults can put the kids to bed in the quiet fixed double at the front of the boat whilst then able to continue socialising at the rear of the boat, keeping access to the kitchen/lounge areas and a bathroom too! In a lot of boats the layout means that you all have to go to bed together or else speak in whispers! We'll teach you all you need to know about driving a narrowboat before we leave you on your own - you'll return navigating the boat like Lord Nelson!!! The River Wey is a tranquil delight, hidden away in the heart of rural Surrey, served by many refreshment opportunities along the Wey where it is possible to moor up and enjoy food and drink and just relax and chill. You put your watch and phone in a drawer and forget about time and everyday life for a while. Our aim is to provide the best service we can for our guests.
