My name is Monica Atherton and I am a Specialist Mental Health Nurse, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapist, Meditation and Reiki Practitioner. My background experience has included working in both the community and inpatients settings as well as Chairing for NHS England as a Commissioner over the past 20 years. I am registered with the Nursing Midwifery Council (NMC) and the Complimentary Therapist Association (CTA). I hold indemnity under the Royal College of Nursing (RCN) as well as Private public Insurance. (Available on request). The service I provide is visionary and holistic in its approach to health and wellbeing with its ultimate aim to provide stress reducing mind-body practices to help reduce the affects of stress and depression in the work place. I offer Bespoke workshops, therapy sessions and 1:1 support for individuals to both public and the private sector. The innovative practices used are rooted in both evidence based practice. The service offers a revolutionary and unique approach to health and wellbeing that is tangible on first experience in order to facilitate growth, and promote change that will impact on the individual and eventually leads to transformation in every area of their life should they wish to continue the practice. The use of Progressive Relaxation Techniques (PRT), Meditation and Sound Bath Therapy used has been shown to help reduce feeling of stress, depression, pain, boosting the immune system and improving mental health. All treatments given are tried and tested treatments which have yielded phenomenal results in the practice of releasing stuck energies within the body that can manifests in physical and mental health symptoms and health conditions. The guided relaxation techniques used focuses on teaching participants to manage the chattering mind, and negative thoughts by the practice of (PRT). All treatments given are evaluated through feedback forms which are used to support evidence based practice.
