I provide professional counselling and talking therapies in Derby city centre. I predominantly work with adults experiencing anxiety, burnout, trauma, emotional overwhelm, relationship and identity struggles. Many of the people I support appear highly capable on the outside while privately feeling exhausted, disconnected, emotionally numb, or stuck in survival mode. I offer a warm, non-judgemental space where clients do not have to mask, perform, or pretend they are coping. My approach is grounded in genuine human connection, compassion, and emotional safety. I have a particular interest in supporting: Anxiety and chronic overwhelm Burnout in leadership and helping professions Men's counselling and emotional suppression Adult survivors of childhood sexual trauma People-pleasing, perfectionism, and over-functioning Emotional numbness, disconnection, and identity loss Alexithymia, Aphantasia, SDAM, Anauralia, and Anendophasia I understand that not everyone experiences thoughts, emotions, memory, or internal processing in the same way. Experiences such as aphantasia, SDAM, anauralia, anendophasia, and alexithymia can affect emotional processing, identity, relationships, and self-understanding, particularly when someone has spent years feeling "different" without knowing why. I'm especially passionate about supporting people who have spent much of their lives carrying the emotional weight of others while neglecting themselves. Therapy with me is not about fixing who you are, it's about creating space for you to feel heard and seen.
