National VQ''s - Training & Development is a new company developing a consultant business in the UK. My pledge is to establish lasting relationships with customers by exceeding their training & develpment expectations and gaining their trust. I will provide value-added services by creating successful partnerships to provide timely and structured learning experiences, operational training, and career development programs to all clients to improve and maintain job performance to support industry goals. The main market sectors National VQ''s - Training & Development will penetrate is to offer bespoke training & development, NVQ''s (National Vocational Qualifications), short-duration courses, health & safety, IAG (Information, Advice & Guidance) to small, medium and large construction businesses in the UK. In recent years consulting has become an important and integral part of business life in the UK, and a part that adds substantial value to British business. With increasing global economic uncertaintly, consultants are well placed to impart effective advice and support and help implement change and transfer skills; ensuring organisations are well equipped to deal with the challenges ahead. Most firms report more caution among clients so far as spending on consultancy is concerned, rather than a dramatic fall, but it is not yet clear how the industry will perform in 2009. Budgets are unquestionably tighter, but clients are still prepared to spend money on external help, especially where it is tied into improving efficiency an reducing costs. I have identified an area in the market where there is huge potential with a win-win situation for all parties concerned. As competency training for Building trades personnel is becoming more in demand by employers, and seems to be heading for legal status, I have identified a funding option that many companies have not taken advantage of, even though their contributions to ConstructionSkills (or exemptions from contribution due to salary payment levels) entitles them to substantial funding for training courses. I intend to market a variety of training courses to construction companies and oversee the delivery of courses. The training will be mixed, offering both on and off-site training for employees, with consideration given to having ''sponsored places'' on each course to recently redundant workers or long-term unemployed who may wish to have a competency card to assist with their job search. Once the awareness has been raised, the next element to promote is the benefit both in cost to the employer - funding will offset the cost totally in most cases - and benefit both the employer and the employee - the employer will have better - trained staff giving them a competitive edge and a more able workforce, while the employee will be better trained, have a competency card, and have better job security and future prospects, particularly since competency assessments may well become a legal requirement for workers in the construction industry. An interactive website (under construction) will act as a key driver for new business. If you require further information, please do not hesitate to contact Ross Hutchison on 07719961151.
