Mat, a skateboarder and snowboarder, is passionate about surfing. He has surfed all over the world, from Hawaii to Bali, and from Ecuador to Morocco. He lives in Newquay, where he surfs all year round, and he runs Driftwood Lodge Backpackers, in Grosvenor Avenue. A qualified BSA Coach and Life Guard, Mat offers friendly, fun surf coaching for all ages and abilities, on Newquay''s golden sands. • Introduction to sea awareness and basic surfing techniques for beginners (B.S.A. recommended ABC lesson, lasting 2 to 3 hours). • Advanced techniques for intermediate surfers with some experience. • Lessons for individuals and small groups. • Surfing etiquette explained. • All lessons structured around students'' needs and abilities.
