Hannah Cantellow Studio
Devizes, Wiltshire, SN10 1NB
The Wiltshire Printmaker ~ Handcrafted Linocut Prints ~ Designed, carved and printed by hand in the picturesque and historic market town of Devizes. I specialise in creating linocut relief prints with chine collé and textured collagraph prints. My artwork is often inspired by my observations of beautiful forms in nature. Walking the Wiltshire landscape informs much of my practice and I create printed images that tell their own unique story. I am of course inspired by the rolling hills, white horses, standing stones and the iconic clumps of trees in Wiltshire. I am always seeking for the deeper meaning of places, their histories and stories. My prints have been referred to as 'quilts' and 'tapestries' because of their weaving of symbolic features and patterned elements. Colour is my significant other and it is my early childhood memories that inspire my colourful aesthetic. My original linocuts start as hand-drawn designs, motifs and sketches, which are then hand-carved and handprinted in my studio. I also work with colour through a printmaking process known as chine collé, which enables me to add colour and texture using beautifully fine handmade and natural Mulberry papers. What's so wonderful about this process is that it adds to the uniqueness of each individual print and makes them even more personal. This is similar to collagraph prints I create, which are collaged on boards, varnished and then printed on my intaglio roller printing press. I also work on creative illustration and surface pattern design collections for homewares, interiors and gifts and love to work with new clients when creating collections. My relationship with the natural world brings me continuous inspiration through its patterns of enchantment and magical charm. Wherever I walk, I find things, I collect objects that call out to me and speak to me through their own unique pattern, texture or shape, these are the stories I weave into my work. Whilst living in South Wales studying Fine Art printmaking, I specialised in collagraphs, relief print, etching and screen printing. During this time, I found a love for teaching and became a qualified lecturer in 2013. Since then I have been lecturing and continued to specialise in Multi-Disciplinary Printmaking (Bristol) and graduated in 2018 with a Master's in Social Sculpture & Connective Practice (Oxford). These experiences have enabled me to see and question the problem with mass produced products and find my own pathway to resolving this issue. So, I decided to pursue my impulses to design and make bespoke, unique alternatives that reflect my relationship with the world and bring them to you through vibrant, colourful prints and textured designs. I offer a bespoke service with custom commissions and personalised linocut prints. When working to commission, the dialogue with my clients is one of my favourite parts of the printmaking journey. I get to learn so much about people's memories, why they love a particular place so much, but ultimately what makes it so very special to them. Clients often refer to me as a 'mind reader' for bringing their desired design to life.

Amanda Roussos Art
Romsey, Hampshire, SO51 5RN
I am a freelance artist based in Romsey in Hampshire specialising in pet portrait commissions and animal art working primarily in acrylic, pastel and pencil. Although I specialise in animal art I am happy to tackle any subject and previous commissions have varied from an oil tanker presented to a CEO in the oil industry to Romsey Abbey. One or two commissions have proven quite a challenge, with part of the face missing from one subject in a double portrait and a commission which not only included 4 family pets, but also the childhood home and the Forth Bridge. However, if you don't try you won't know if you can, will you? And I did, and both were very successful commissions. When I am not painting animals I am usually painting humans, but I have, with age, also developed an interest in abstract art. Previously of the 'a child of 4 could do it' brigade, I am increasingly drawn to this art form and the realisation of just how difficult it is to create a good piece of abstract work. You can find my work and further information on my website at amandaroussosart.com. All prices include post and packing for the UK. International shipping will incur extra charges. If you have any queries, please feel free to contact me.

Sarh Vivian Fine Art
Penzance, Cornwall, TR19 7JW
Cornish Landscape and Seascape Artist Sarah Vivian; oil paintings, high quality A3, A4 and A5 prints, plus cards Sarah writes - "My painting is an expression of my love of the land here in West Penwith, a connection with the beauty and power of the landscape. The paintings are in oil paint on board or canvas, and are realistic & representational landscapes of West Cornwall, but not in an entirely photographic way; they are hyper-real, or more than real. I try to express the magic or earth energy, the essence, or resonance of a place, a stone, a tree. I look for the symmetries & similarities of patterns, the inherent fractals of growth & movement, and emphasise these." "I look for the glimpses of the Animate Landscape - the Genius Loci, Spirits of the Land, or personality of a place, and try to create images to show these to others. Often this animate landscape shows itself in faces and forms which remind us of human features, which personalizes it and gives us more connection to it, so many of my paintings have rocks or trees with faces, or have shapes which are like people or creatures. But whether I am painting smiley rocks, ancient sites or beautiful sunsets, it is all manifestations of the Divine in the landscape, and is about the Soul's response to beauty." "For the paintings to have a strong visual & emotional impact, I paint with great detail & in a heightened and intensified manner. I love the qualities of oil paint, which enable me to build up complex layers of colour and texture, combining classic technical methods of "thin to fat & dark to light", with Pre-Raphaelite painting techniques of layers of thin translucent glazes on a brilliant white ground." Sarah took an Honours Degree in Education in 1975, with art and craft as the main subjects, and followed the craft avenue professionally. She set up a craft business in 1977, and for over ten years she was a handloom weaver and tailoress in a craft centre in Devon. She moved to her own textile gallery in 1988 and diversified her work, producing a wide range of items in painted silk, printed fabrics, batik, embroidery and appliqué, and especially patchwork. The gallery also sold the work of over 150 craftspeople, and held exhibitions. From 1982 to 1990 Sarah was a Council Member of the Devon Guild of Craftsmen, and during this time served on various craft committees, and the local Chamber of Commerce. Her gallery in Devon was sold in 1994, and she moved to West Penwith in 1996. Sarah has now been painting full time since 1998. Original paintings and prints are shown at The Little Picture Gallery, Mill Lane, Mousehole; The Picture Parlour, Bridge Walk, Boscastle; Windswept, Fore Street, St Just; Know Thyself, St Georges Arcade, Falmouth; The Lamorna Pottery Gallery, Lamorna, Galllery 38, Wharfside, St Ives. Prints and cards are also shown in about 20 other outlets mainly in the South West. Most recent paintings have been done to commission; please contact Sarah for details. Currently 51 cards and 130 prints of Sarah's paintings, in three different sizes, are available through her website www.sarahvivian.com
