Fishing Rod Consultancy was founded in 2010 by Richard Pitts, a highly qualified consultant with many years of experience in the higher education, social enterprise and community and voluntary sectors delivering careers and employability based initiatives. The aim of the business is to provide a wide range of high quality educational training programmes, research projects, networking opportunities, workshops and events. This training comes in many formats and can be tailored to suit the needs of different organisations and people.
The business is based in London and is centred on delivering skills and professional development programmes primarily for the education and community / voluntary sectors. This includes mentoring, volunteering, career action planning, project and event management, entrepreneurship, CSR and networking. There is also an involvement in conducting education research.
