Enve Canine Services

Enve Canine Services are here to help you own and train a dog others will be envious of. Group classes focus on obedience and control through our own bronze, silver and gold standards. We concentrate on quality training in a friendly, fun environment that both you and your dog will enjoy. All classes feature fun agility which enhances owner handling skills and makes the class interesting and challenging for your dog. We focus on all common behavioural problems in the pet dog (e.g. pulling on the lead, jumping up, coming when called) to give you a trained dog that you can be proud of. Your dog looks to you to provide food, water, shelter, veterinary care, exercise and most importantly leadership. Studies of wolf packs and wild dogs show a social structure with clear alpha leaders. Problems can occur in pet dogs when it isn’t clear to them that they do not occupy that alpha position in their pack – you do! We teach you to regain your alpha status in a calm assertive manner using timely voice commands and praise, body language and distraction techniques. We recognise that different training methods suit different dogs and will work with you to find the right solution for you both. Our puppy classes although structured and educational are fun and low key. With an emphasis on fun we encourage your puppy to think and solve problems for themselves, to be inquisitive and to focus on, trust and respond to you. Everything that you do at this early stage in your dogs life influences their development. Often the problems we see in mature dogs are as a result of experiences when they were a pup. Puppies need to be allowed to be puppies but need to learn good manners and obedience along the way. Classes typically involve 50% supervised socialisation and play – essential for establishing their ability to mix with other dogs and 50% structured fun exercises to introduce searching, basic leash control, coming when called and obstacle negotiation. We offer group and puppy training at superb outdoor facilities at Minster (nr Thanet) on Saturday mornings and Thannington (Canterbury) on Sunday mornings. Group and puppy training sessions last for one hour and run in blocks of 6 weeks. A 6 week course costs £60. Telephone advice is free. We take personal pride in seeing the dogs progress and seeing owners confidence and handling skills improve. We love to welcome new members to the classes, there is no need to be nervous - everyone at the club has experienced the same problems as you. You will meet friendly, like minded people all of whom love and want the best for their dog. Whether you have a puppy or a specific problem to solve we welcome you with open arms. Why not come along for a tea or coffee and speak to the people that train with us and see for yourself? So come along to Enve Canine Services dog training and we’ll help you train a dog others will be envious of!
