The Mourne Seafood Cookery School is a state of art cookery school located in the Nautilus Centre, with panoramic views of Kilkeel harbour. The cookery school were awarded ?Highly Commended? in the prestigious NITB Tourism Awards in 2011. You will find the freshest fish and seafood at the home of Northern Ireland?s largest fishing fleet. For those seafood lovers this is an ideal way to learn more about what to look for when buying, handling and cooking seafood. It is aimed to be a fun, relaxed, learning experience. You will learn about how fish is caught, filleted, handled and cooked. All classes are designed for both the beginner and the food enthusiast. Lift and stair access available. We also aim to be sustainably aware and source as much of the ingredients used from local food producers as possible. We also stock a range of local produce available to purchase in the cookery school. Seafood cookery demonstrations start from ?15 for 10 - 14 people and ?10 for 15 - 23 people. Seafood cookery classes are available, half day ?60 and full day ?110 including lunch. Vouchers can be purchased to any value, and make an ideal gift. Events held throughout the year.
