At Beat Exam Stress we run workshops in London for students aged 16-24 years old, to help them learn how to manage their exam nerves. Year 11 students who are 15 years old are also welcome to attend our workshops.
Exams can cause a lot of stress for students and sometimes this stress can affect their performance in a negative way. Of course, a little bit of stress is good for you and can motivate you, but when you become really stressed you are not able to perform at your best - but don''t stress, we are here to help!
We can''t change your exam timetable or the amount of revision you need to do to pass; what we can do is help you to learn how to manage this stress and approach your revision and exams in a way that helps you to achieve your best.
We do this by training you to use evidence-based techniques so that you are able to apply them independently when you have finished the workshop.
The workshop is led by Gurvinder and Paul. Gurvinder is a former teacher with a Postgraduate Certificate in Education and a Masters degree in Learning and Teaching from Oxford University. She has a Level 4 Diploma in Evidence-Based Cogntive Behavioural Hypnotherapy (including Mindfulness) and a Diploma in Stress Management and Resilience Building. Paul has many years of experience working with students with exam stress. He holds diplomas in Hypnotherapy and NLP, and Certificates in Stress Management, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Training, and mindfulness.
Workshops take place at Imperial College London, South Kensington, which is on the Circle, District and Piccadilly Tube Lines. Workshops run from 10am to 4pm on weekends and during some school holidays. The cost of the one-day workshop is ?120 but we offer a reduced price of just ?99 if you book early. You may also have the chance to win a free place at workshops by registering on our website.
