This might include using techniques which fall within any of the following approaches: Humanistic, Gestalt, Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness, Transactional Analysis. The choice of approach will depend on what might be useful for you, and what might have worked before for that particular issue. When we first meet we can discuss this in more detail and see what might work best for you. I have recorded a vodcast to explain how I work, and what you can expect out of a counselling or psychotherapy session, and the link to this is shown in the photo & video section below. I am on the Survivors UK approved list of national therapists who specialise in working with survivors of sexual violence. In addition, I have been working in the LGBT+ community for several years.
