The only effective and permanent way to fight our anxiety, restlessness, fears and worries is to face them head-on. With the right guidance we find the courage and the will to wrestle these demons and emerge as a whole, stronger, peaceful and joyful person. Counselling and psychotherapy can help you grow and become the person who you were originally designed to be. My practice, Sustainable Empowerment in Hammersmith, West London provides counselling and psychotherapy for a wide range of conditions and traumas. I developed my practice, Sustainable Empowerment, as a result of my motivation to help people see light at the end of the tunnel. My purpose is to empower individuals and lead them to explore their inner strengths so that they may write their own destiny and gain more behavioural control. I can inspire you to stay strong and resilient in the face of adversity, challenges and complications. Offering help through psychotherapy and counselling in West London, I can help you grow as a person and change your life for the better. I believe that we can all overcome the challenges of depression, anxiety, anger, stress and other similar conditions. All you need is help and direction and that is what I will help you find at Sustainable Empowerment. Working as a counsellor based in Hammersmith, London, with my help you can bring a positive change in your life and transform it from that which you have known to something for which you have always wished. Counselling and psychotherapy has proven to make an enormous difference in the lives of many and it can do the same for you. Whether you are going through emotional trauma, fighting old behaviour patterns or struggling to overcome grief, I will help you. I myself have been a victim of personality disorders. Angie Gutierrez Psychotherapy & Counselling

"When we least expect it, Life sets us a Challenge, to test our Courage and willingness to Change" - Paulo Coelho Perhaps all in life is well, but there's an underlining feeling that "something is not right" or "I'm just not happy". This might be the point at which we turn within and ask some questions... However in my experience, it can take some time and effort to make sense of our thoughts and feelings. This is where Psychotherapy and Counselling may be beneficial. I am in the 4th and final year of my training for my Diploma in Psychotherapy and counselling and can therefore offer low cost Therapy. If Psychotherapy or Counselling is something you have been considering, please feel free to contact me for a quick discussion of your needs.

Julia Bueno UKCP
London, London
I am a qualified, experienced, and UKCP registered Integrative Psychotherapist and Counsellor, working in Stoke Newington, N16. I am also a member of the BACP. Talking therapies can have a reputation for being aloof, or even seen as an indulgence. They are also often misrepresented in the media. There are so many types, it can be overwhelming. You might feel worried about what will happen in therapy, or unsure which approach will work best for you. I hope to de-mystify what takes place in therapy so you can think about whether it is what you are looking for. If you''ve made it this far, perhaps you are feeling something that is getting in the way of things. Maybe you are sad, angry, anxious, low or struggling to like yourself. Maybe you are feeling ok, but you would like to improve how you relate to other people, face life''s challenges, or parent your children. You may be in a relationship that is struggling and needs help to get back on track. My experience has convinced me that talking about your concerns with someone trained to hear them, and respond to them, in a particular way, can be very helpful. It won''t "cure" you, or delete a painful past, but it can equip you to move on with greater ease, and perhaps pave the way for further positive change.
Women''s Consortium
Wembley, London
We offer low cost counselling and also offer personal development, NLP or Mediation therapy. At Women’s Consortium we understand that life is tough at times and can leave us feeling sad, de-motivated, powerless and without hope. Sometimes we need assistance with life and therapy can help us do this; because of this need, we have different therapy packages that can help individuals with their paths in life. The understanding of exploring your thoughts and feelings with a professional can lighten your sense that you are not alone. Therapy can enhance your perception of yourself and improve your choices and understandings of problems. We understand the diversity of everyone and try to accommodate as many people as possible therefore at the moment we can offer therapy in the Urdu, Punjabi, Hindi, Bengali and Polish language. We can also offer Islamic counselling. We are currently working towards offering Skype and telephone counselling. We appreciate that not everyone can afford counselling and that is why our prices are very competitive and reduced for people who are unemployed, on benefits or receive a low income.
Dharma Paul Counselling and Psychotherapy
West London, London
Counselling and therapy focus on the client''s issues. I do not advise you or suggest ways to solve problems. Instead, you and I think together about the issues that affect you. We each explore the feelings and thoughts you have about your life. Our first meeting forms an assessment. It normally lasts about 75 minutes. The aim is to identify your needs and explore whether psychodynamic counselling or therapy would be helpful. We may then both take some time to think about possible options. This might involve us agreeing to work together. If we decide to work together, you would agree to attend 50-minute sessions at the same time on the same day every week. We would then meet for regular appointments till we agree to end our work together. While many people attend weekly sessions, those who feel the need for more support often choose to attend sessions twice weekly or sometimes three times weekly.
Marion Dunn Counselling
Ealing, London
There is not very much difference between counselling and psychotherapy. Generally the word ‘counselling’ is used for short term work where the focus is on problem solving. ‘Psychotherapy’ is more often used where the emphasis is placed on deeper emotional problems and may last a number of years. You may decide to come for counselling about a specific problem and then choose to spend longer looking at a range of issues and gain a deeper understanding of yourself. The most important aspect of counselling is the professional relationship you build up with your counsellor. A good relationship in therapy is one which is non judgemental and respectful and involves the establishment of trust. I aim to provide a safe, empathic and confidential environment for you to explore your problems and issues.
