Hypnotherapy is a safe and effective way of overcoming problems.
Your unconscious mind is like your own personal memory bank, within that bank are your life experiences, beliefs and behaviours. It has your best interest at heart and works efficiently at keeping you safe. This isn''t always helpful when it comes to phobias, a good example of this is when somebody has had what they would describe as a bad experience with ''spiders''. This reaction gets stored and is readily activated and often exaggerated next time a spider may come into view. You may be able to relate this to something else.
Limited beliefs, unwanted behaviours are all stored in your memory bank (unconscious mind) which have been learnt. You weren''t born with them! The good news is they can be unlearnt - released and set free enabling you to have a feeling of well-being.
Hypnosis is used by the therapist to enable you to reach a suitable state of deep relaxation within a safe environment, this state is often described as ''trance'' similar to daydreaming. Once this has been achieved your unconscious mind becomes open and alert, always there to protect you. The therapist can then use ''positive'' suggestions to influence the unconscious mind, it will only listen and respond to positive commands.
The Therapist acts as a guide, the client is always in control and will only be influenced when willing.
