My grandfather Mr Jowett started his piano tuning, servicing and sales business in Cleveleys in 1914 after having worked as a tuner/technician for a large piano shop in Huddersfield for many years. He covered Blackpool,Fylde and Over Wyre areas for 30 years and trained my father who worked for him before the second world war. The pianos I buy are usually of a quality well known make and overstrung with an underdamper tape action mechanism. I occasionally take a piano with an overdamper maechanism in part exchange for another piano prov...
