I am Counsellor working in Private Practice. I provide a safe place from which to move on in life; to explore; discover and experience your journey of life with greater uderstanding, meaning and awareness. I work with a variety of problems which includes depression/anxiety; bereavement/separation/loss; obsessional & compulsive behaviours; phobias; addictions; personal development; self harm; schizophrenia; personality disorders . I am passionate about individual potential and the creative inner strengths that brings about change, particularly in working towards self awareness, acceptance and healing. My main approach is Cognitive Behaviour Therapy. CBT draws upon behavioural and rationalemotive theories and focuses upon the individual''s environment, thoughts, images, beliefs, behaviours, feelings and moods. CBT recognizes how easily one can be driven by emotion and passions rather than rational reasoning. CBT enables the individual to stand back from their situations and explains how individuals can link new information to existing knowledge.
