The Party Wall etc. Act 1996 came into force on 1 July 1997. It is largely based on Part VI of the London Building Acts (Amendment) Act 1939. The Act is a complex tool that requires a thorough knowledge that can only be gained through actual experience of preparing notices and agreeing Awards. Our dedicated party wall surveyors have gained considerable knowledge and self-assurance by being continually exposed to the workings of the Act enabling them to deal with typical Party Wall cases with ease. As specialist party wall surveyors we work closely with our clients in both the public and private sectors, seeking to maximise value from the project we are commissioned to undertake. We act as party wall surveyor for both building and adjoining owners and can act as agreed surveyor jointly for both neighbours.
