Roz Welch Counselling and Psychotherapy

Today’s busy lifestyles can be a challenge and it is easy to lose sight of your dreams just by coping with everyday life. When things get too much, perhaps something unexpected happens, stress can cloud your judgement and every day can feel like hard work. Talking things over confidentially can help you put things into perspective and see things differently. Unexpected change can be difficult to manage, it can be hard to think straight given the busy lives we lead, trying to make sense of the unpredictable can leave us anxious, stressed and angry. Life’s changes; redundancy, bereavement, loss, illness or broken relationships can leave us in tatters, unable to cope. Irrational thoughts and low self esteem plague many of us, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy can help you recognise how your emotions affect your thoughts and behaviours; challenging and adapting beliefs to enable healthier thinking; helping you recognise your strengths and weaknesses, to maximise your potential, determine your priorities and construct achievable steps to attain your goals. Psychotherapy is a process of discovery, of self-awareness, facilitating change by seeing different perspectives, on why you do what you do and why you are who you are and how this affects your relationships, and your behaviour.
