Water Creations Swim Academy (WCSA) is an STA Approved Training Centre based in Hertfordshire, teaching babies, toddlers, children, and adults to swim with warmth, patience, and a genuine love of the water. Lessons take place across three private school pools at St Edmund's College in Ware, Heath Mount School in Watton-at-Stone, and Queenswood in Brookmans Park. Founded by Cory Abrahams in 2019 as Cory & Syd Swim School, the academy later became Water Creations Swim Academy and has since helped Hertfordshire families build confidence and develop lifelong swimming skills. Cory co-directs the business alongside his mother, Gemma Abrahams, who left a career in imports and exports to help grow the academy into one of the area's trusted learn-to-swim providers. Every instructor is STA and Swim England qualified, with ongoing professional development through WCSA's own STA-approved training programme. Unlike many swim schools, instructors teach alongside children in the water, providing hands-on guidance and individual support throughout every lesson. WCSA's bespoke learn-to-swim programme takes children from preschool through Levels 1-7, with each level featuring Beginner, Improver, and Advanced milestones. Progress is celebrated with certificates, while each stage is represented by a friendly animal, from Turtles in Level 1 through to Orcas in Level 7, giving children a fun and rewarding sense of achievement. Class sizes remain intentionally small so every swimmer receives close individual attention, and certificates and swim hats are included in every lesson at no additional cost. Alongside weekly group lessons, WCSA offers private one-to-one and small-group coaching for swimmers who would benefit from additional support, as well as school holiday swim camps for children. For adults, the academy provides both learn-to-swim lessons and professional teacher training, including the STA Level 2 Award in Teaching Swimming and the STA Baby and Pre-School qualification for aspiring swim teachers aged 16 and over. Community is central to everything WCSA does. Alongside promoting water safety throughout Hertfordshire, the academy supports nonprofit swimming initiatives overseas, including projects in Uganda through Angel Swim London and in the Philippines. Families from across Hertfordshire, including Ware, Hertford, Watton-at-Stone, Brookmans Park, and the surrounding villages, choose WCSA for its experienced instructors, small class sizes, and supportive teaching approach. The academy also works with private schools and organisations interested in venue partnerships. From a baby's first splash to a child progressing through the academy's swim programme, or an adult becoming a qualified swim teacher, WCSA's mission remains the same: to build confidence, promote water safety, and foster a lifelong love of swimming.
